Drawings bring birth music to life

A new life, a new sound. Over the past few years, Thomas Smetryns has composed a new piece of piano music every time friends or family have been blessed with a baby. A sheet of new music to welcome a new person. Sometimes short, sometimes longer, sometimes playful, sometimes more adventurous. Pianist Daan Vandewalle peppers them with other musical gems. Artist Gerda Dendooven illustrates these little gifts live. With music by Thomas Smetryns, György Ligeti, George Antheil and Gordon Mumma.
