Dorabella and Fiordiligi – sisters through thick and thin – are engaged to Ferrando and Guglielmo, but will their love survive a joke that is taken too far? Nowadays, Lorenzo da Ponte's awkward caricature-as-a-mirror, brilliantly set to music by Mozart, raises more questions than it answers. Queer conductor Manoj Kamps and director Lisenka Heijboer Castañón open the conversation together with a brilliant and diverse cast, including a superlative Claron McFadden in the key role of Despina.
