Breathing exercise with contemporary flute music
We each breathe up to 20,000 times a day. Usually, we don’t even think about it. But very occasionally we will gasp for breath, our breathing will be laboured, or we will hyperventilate. Learning to breathe consciously can help us to relax, or if we wish, to become very alert. In these sessions – accompanied by flutist Katrien Gaelens and the music of Sciarrino and Hynninen – we learn to use yoga and conscious breathing to achieve a different state of being.
