In 2010 Concertgebouw Brugge played a starring role in Hans Op de Beeck's video portrait Sea of Tranquility. Today the artist is once again our guest, this time with Danse Macabre, a merry-go-round that seems to be frozen in time. This installation, created for the Bruges Triennial 2021: TraumA, makes us reflect on bygone memories, between dream and reality. In his lecture, Op de Beeck guides us through his work (process) and thought: a fascinating insight into an artistic practice that runs from sculpture to watercolour, and from photo to video.
