A soundscape from Arnolfini’s Bruges
Foreign merchants and bankers primarily came to Bruges to make money, but they also used their network for (cultural) diplomacy. Here in the North, they searched out the best choir boys, singer-composers and new music for their home cities. The flamboyant Patrizia Bovi follows Franco-Flemish footsteps to Venice, Naples, Florence and Lucca. With her legendary ensemble Micrologus, she brings the music of the Renaissance to glorious life, shining like the Italian sun.
